Orange Traffic Light Settings from 14/4/22

New Zealand remains under the COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light settings).

From Thursday 14 April, all regions of New Zealand will move to the ORANGE setting.

Orange Setting - Key Points for Golf:

There are no capacity limits for golf activity in indoor or outdoor settings.
All golf hospitality venues can open. Customers do not have to be seated to be served.
There are no limits on the number of people who can be at golf hospitality venues — either indoors or outdoors.
Customers do not need to wear a face mask at indoor or outdoor golf hospitality venues.
Customers do need to wear a face mask at indoor golf retail facilities.
Public-facing workers at indoor golf hospitality and retail venues must wear face masks.
There is no requirement to scan in or for a business to display a QR code poster or have mandatory record keeping.

My Vaccine Pass
My Vaccine Passes are no longer required. Businesses can still be able to use the system if they would like to. Golf New Zealand believes there is no longer any need for any golf club to use My Vaccine Passes. One of golf’s greatest qualities is that it is an inclusive, healthy sport played outdoors in wonderful surroundings. We welcome the government’s decision that vaccine passes will no longer be required as part of the Covid-19 protection framework.
