Temuka Golf Club Course Update 29/6/21
I’m thrilled to inform you that our course is reopening for 18
holes as of Wednesday 30/6/21 yes that’s tomorrow.
We will be playing the whole course no adjustments to holes,
it may be winter conditions but at least we are playing on our
own course, please treat the course with care.
Reciprocal rights will now cease as we have reopened .
You have 1 club length placing over the whole course (except
sand bunkers) and if in silted areas take to the nearest point
of relief. Check the local rules board for
Temuka Golf club course update.

A meeting was held this morning to review the course.
It was agreed that MEMBERS ONLY can practice on holes 1 to
5 and 14 to 18, all other areas are to be classed as out of
bounds /out of order (that is 6 to 13, and both practice areas
please do not go anywhere near these holes as we
endeavour to get them back to a playable level) .
Please stay within the designated walk through areas on hole
Nos. 3, 4 and 5. Young grass is coming through and staying off
the
Members (52+) responded in force to assist in the clean up from the recent flooding damage. The most affected holes were No’s 6 through to 13, with greens and fairways covered in muddy silt. A brilliant morning tea spread was provided by the ladies and President Willy thanked everyone for coming to help.

Please exercise PATIENCE while we work through this trying time, last year Covid this year
flooding what’s on the agenda for next year I wonder?
The course is CLOSED until further notice; there will be no practicing, or play due to the
extensive rain we have received approx. 195 mls to date on Monday morning (31st May), we
will do our best to get it up and running but be patient.
