Tidy up last Tuesday , ladies in the garden in front of the clubhouse and along the bank and in the background the guys dealing with the willow tree at the back of No 6 green. Half the limbs split out during the weekend Second time major limbs have split out of this tree, this time though it could end up being terminal.
Thursday men had their end of year prize giving on December 9th. Men compete for the Brian Simpson Trophy over February to November on stableford days. Players 10 best cards over the period are averaged to to find the placegetters

Temuka Golf Club Course Update 29/6/21
I’m thrilled to inform you that our course is reopening for 18
holes as of Wednesday 30/6/21 yes that’s tomorrow.
We will be playing the whole course no adjustments to holes,
it may be winter conditions but at least we are playing on our
own course, please treat the course with care.
Reciprocal rights will now cease as we have reopened .
You have 1 club length placing over the whole course (except
sand bunkers) and if in silted areas take to the nearest point
of relief. Check the local rules board for
Temuka Golf club course update.

A meeting was held this morning to review the course.
It was agreed that MEMBERS ONLY can practice on holes 1 to
5 and 14 to 18, all other areas are to be classed as out of
bounds /out of order (that is 6 to 13, and both practice areas
please do not go anywhere near these holes as we
endeavour to get them back to a playable level) .
Please stay within the designated walk through areas on hole
Nos. 3, 4 and 5. Young grass is coming through and staying off
the
Reciprocal rights with Pleasant Point GC while the course is closed
9 Hole Ladies and Men Tuesday and Friday start 12 noon at Pleasant Point
Mens Thursday comp 11.30am reporting 12 noon start and Mens Sat. comp 11.30 reporting and 12.00 tee off
Ladies Wed 10am reporting, 10.30 tee off (caterer available)
and Saturday Ladies 11.30am reporting 12.00 tee off
Caterer available at Pleasant point
Geraldine course is reopening on Thursday at this stage.
Reciprocal rights are held with the Geraldine course while the Temuka course is closed,
Mid week mens competition is on Wednesday 12.00 reporting and

Please exercise PATIENCE while we work through this trying time, last year Covid this year
flooding what’s on the agenda for next year I wonder?
The course is CLOSED until further notice; there will be no practicing, or play due to the
extensive rain we have received approx. 195 mls to date on Monday morning (31st May), we
will do our best to get it up and running but be patient.
