Thanks to the group of ladies along with Phil C and Dick M who assisted the group of keen gardeners to clear and spread pine needles around the rhododendron dell to the west side of the practice nets.  We are reliably informed that rhodos and camellias enjoy the acidic properties given by pine needles. The area looks a lot tidier and we hope to add further to this cover later on.

The Temuka 6 man team finished 3rd in the Bristol Cup interclub match at the Timaru Golf Club behind winners Rakaia and runner up Ashburton. The Temuka team was Ray Teahen, Wayne Hobbs, Brent Tindall, Steve Mackle, Phil Donehue and Chris Kooman. The team were 2nd equal on 218 after the foursomes round in the morning and maintained that position in difficult windy conditions in the afternoon nett round finishing with a total team score 677.
